good luck with this.. it is so complicated to be able to make that stuff. i'd suggest making a custom firmware i guess, since pandoras battery can downgrade anything, but perhaps make a downgrader for those that dont have access to a battery. whichever one would be the shortest to get you more familiar with it.

Well, let me ask you something...how good are you with C, C+, C++, and Hex editing?

I'll get him to get a hold of you Mice, I know him. I also know ShreadurFace, who lives down the street from him and helps him code a little. He's in my socom clan. seriously!

man That would be awesome

I'm thinking if I get into the making of a custom firmware and it turns ou to be too hard , I going to make some sort of an Index that simply les you enter your present firmware, and update to any other custom firmware, this will also be a great contribution

well even if you learn quickly mice R nice you have to noe at least the basics of C or C+ coding like staxx said im probably guessing C++ and hex editing come into making custom firmwares and this is preety hard to learn you might wana try doing something small a simple game i suggest? thats wat im doing just so i know how everything works

I would rather take long time on a huge project rather than a small short project

Yea man if you don't even know what C++ is, it really is going to take a long time. Let let me be the first that says you can't do it, and you will some day look back on this and say "Hmph, he said I couldn't do it but 3 years later I finally made 3.80MRN!" (even though sony and dax are already at 7.50M33-10 with ps2 compatibility).

Thats good your a quick learner, how quick can you learn a new language? Cause thats pretty much what learning how to read coding is. I'm not trying to discourage you from developing a new custom firmware, but I do think you should start with some simpler things first cause if you take on something hard like creating custom firmware as your first project then you'll only end up frustrating yourself and in end give up on coding because you'll feel its too hard. I suggest going to a local book store and pick up some books on C, C+, and C++ coding...If you dedicate about 5 hours of every day to those books, you should finally start to really understand the BASICS after a year or so.

I'll start something smaller

see now that's the kind of tips I'm looking for, I'll go check out some of those coding books, and if they're too hard I'll start with something smaller

When I made this topic, I knew that the project would be no easy feat, but now I think I have to start with something smller
