someone point me in the right direction

i have a first gen psp to say the least . its also upgrade to firmwre 2.6. ive been searching lots of forums including this one in trying to help me downgrade this bad boy for i can run homebrew. ive tried to upgrade to 3.03 but it says the file is corrupted so if anyone can point me in the right direction it would really help thanks

1. if you have the pandora battery you can downgrade with that
2. since your at 2.6 you can downgrade using gta lcs.
3. you can upgrade to 2.71 so you can downgrade without using nothing. check my tutorial in the tutorial section on downgrading 2.71

how do i use gta lcs i have a rented copy from blockbuster right here ?

2.71 requires passing of some 1.50 files how do i get those
