How to format pro duo

It happens that im using Windows Vista and when i try to format my memory stick with Pandora's GUI 1.5
i get this error:
You are running Windows VISTA
Logical formatting of The Memory Stick will not Work
You can either use a windows xp machine or download an use
Pandora's SLAX iso from www.x-project.org

now the thing is that i dont access to a windows xp machine and i searched for pandora's slax iso
in their website but i cant seem to find it anywhere and so does other people
so can anyone explain to me how can i format the stick?

Somehow downgrade your computer to XP. Vista is a nightmare.

I don't have any experience with Vista, so I wouldn't know, but I know some users on here have Vista and gotten errors too and somehow got it to work. Maybe one of them can help you (maybe someone like staxx knows). Also, you can't downgrade your computer to xp lol. YOu downgrade PSP's, not computers. You can go buy a XP disc, but that'll cost you like $100. SLAX is a distribution of Linux too, so I have no idea about the whole slax pandora thing unless it means you should download the latest version of SLAX liveCD, run it on your computer and then use that to make the pandora battery and memory stick. That might work.

Ok you can install a older OS yea, but when you downgrade, most people would think of downgrading a psp, or reverting a psp to a older firmware. Just say you will downgrade your computer in front of some M$ employees and they will think your crazy ;)

What happened to you psp?

If u've got the memory stick and the pandoras battery then just insert them into the psp and it should automaticly turn on. The screen should have some options, unbricking, downgrading and some other stuff I cant remember.
