need opinions, upgrade my 3.03 oe-c? or stay?

I currently have a psp (the fat one...lol) at firmware 3.03 oe-c and I play a bunch of my emulators and stuff on it. I haven't been on here in quite awhile, and I fell behind on all of the new types of firmwares and stuff. Are there any suggestions that anyone can give me about updating or any new features that I should try? oh and I have a TA-082 motherboard . I heard there was some type of cool "Quake beta" type game around, can someone refer me to it?

You could try first, upgrading to 3.52M33, then after that apply the 4th patch to it. New features are cxmb (Check out the flash0 section of the forum), playing ISO's now without the need of another UMD in the UMD drive, and just better psx emulation and such. There's a tutorial in the tutorials section on how to upgrade.

Or you could try 3.71M33 with the 1.50 addon, but I would suggest 3.52 as more homebrew is compatible with it

And I tried to play that Quake beta game a while ago, never did get it to work. You have to set up a server on your computer for your psp to connect to and crap. And the instructions on how to do that sucked. More members can add more though.

Yea, you can do that through iR Shell(the latest is at 3.7), you can read about it here:

If you put this on your PSP you can liten to music while playing games.

u mean the prx plugin. Yep there is one. Its ok. Just make sure ur songs arent in files cause it gets confusing. And if u want that upgrade to 3.52-4. 3.71 doesnt really have one (the one it does hav is crappy).

wow you guys are really helpful. I do remember now it was a prx plugin, but when I tried to get it on my psp it said I needed 3.11 fw or better. So I definetly think I'm going for the 3.52 fw. Thanks again!!!

yeah, i wanted to get to the ps stuff i was talking about, never did, old habits die hard...mobile hacking kinda forced/pulled me back in, and now that i have some time (for a bit) and internet, i'm not up to date...i was trying to goto 3.72 m33, but have to have 3.71 m33, and 3.71 m33 you have atleast 3.52 m33...but i'm at 3.10 oe-a, as you can see in my signature. so what should i do? i have to upgrade to do things that i want too...

and i msged someone from this site telling them about a step by step on hooking a cell to a wireless router and then could be used for the PSP, and they said that they would post it...cuz this is deffiantely something interesting, interesting in many ways actaully cuz it describes the protocals on the cell..and could possibly be implemented to a psp...but at the least unliminted mobile psp anywhere..just been bugging me

And on the front page it has instructions to get to the new 3.72 M33 firmware just released.

i started the easy installer, for 3.40 oea and it installs the upgrader...i go onto the icon installer in the game section, it coems back with a error, and won;t run it...so i donno what the deal is...the only tihng i see is that the readme says make sure it's running in 1.50 in the configuration section...and i have no idea what that means, i've never seen that and don't now...probly for another firmware...so yeah...did that...????

don't get all twisted about the double post or whatever you guys call it...time passed and i got nothing...and i have an updated question cuz i got farther in by not following the directions that came with the installers...

ok i got 3.40 install cuz the auto installer didn't put the program in the 1.50 folder...for some reason...so i have that installed...
then i did the same thing with 3.52 m33, put the installl program in the 1.50 even though it says for 1.50 only...but it worked...or i think it did, cuz it said ok on everything in the isntall....but the version in the system section still says 3.40...that doesn't seem to be right...but i was like ok maybe it jsut didn't change it cuz it said ok to it all...but i went to update the -4 update and it's not found...the link is bad...so at the least i'd need another link...and i also wannt know if that is right that it would still say 3.40?...and what to do if those are the cases

3.52 m33 with the 3 and 4 update indcluded...also clear install directions that are actually right...then went to 3.71...then to 3.72 HX-1, thanks for your help you gave me a clear path to what i needed to do...think that 3.40 update helped the most i couldn't find it...but now iso's that are suppose to run on that firmware, don't....what the heck?

I'm confused, so what firmware are you on and what are your current questions?

thanks for pointing me in the right direction...i don't like that it's so hard to find what you want in downloads....but deffinately has what you need here usually....help is good though....downlaodsw don't seem to work all that much right now...but thanks for the help....i'm on 3.72 HX-1 firmware, and the iso's not working was due to the selct menu not set right....also i downgraded a 2.80...got it up to the same version, 3.72 hx-1, so i ironed out everything....it's jsut that i don't wait well...don't want to brick my psp...but i end up figuring it out eventually...jsut been a bit since i read anything or done anything PSP too....but agian thanks...have a good one
