CD Halo 2 Patch

Is there a way to patch the CD of Halo 2 Vista, to run it on XP?
Like lets say I baught Halo 2 Vista, is there any patches out there that will patch it to run on XP?

He means in order for him to play it on XP, since it's a "vista only" game. I was thinking about getting a better gfx card and buying it, but I think I'll just stick with H3 this Christmas. I do know last time I looked there's a patch to make the campaigne playable but at the time you couldn't play multiplayer. Also there were some legality issues with it, so if I find anything I'll PM you. Google is always your friend.

I remember that patch, it is available via certain means, but I remember a company hasn't officially released the real one. It's something like that.
