That is the same software as speed test uses its just for business's.

(5.5Mb/s and 0.36Mb/s) A little slower this time I think but upload speed is a little slow. My internet is always up and down I guess I got it at a high time lol.

so how much do you pay a month for your provider? Is it cable or DSL? I moved out of springfield missouri to branson missouri 36 miles away because the lighting company I work for, its where its base is.. At our house down here I only pay $39 a month and we get 10mb down and 1.5 up.. in springfield, we payed $49 a month and only got 5mb down and .75mb up.. both were cable.. I refuse to use DSL..

when i do my speed test here though I get around what you are, excpet my upload is around 1.3mbs..

your speeds are pretty good.. up isn't the greatest but that's not to bad.. stil decent if you do alot of web design and development.. but yea.. how much do ya pay and what kind of high speed is it? :)

It's ok asddasit.. I just couldn't have dial-up because of web development.. When you upload JPGS on dial-up if they are huge files, it will damage the quality of your pictures.. But, I did use to play online games on Dial-up back in the day.. that sh*t was so fun havint to adjust for the lag.. but everyone had it, so it wasn't a big deal.. then you got the guys with cable all of sudden coming in and working you.. it was hard sometimes but only made you better..

EDIT: yunoko, I also just noticed you had Cable from the speedtest though.. but still curious as to how much you have to play up there.. :)

I'm getting around 4.5mb/s down and flippin 0.3mb/s up. XD I'm going to try and get a new router maybe that will help. It'd probably be a lot faster if we didn't have 2 computers and the xbox hooked up.

@Ace - Do you think a new router will help you? For the most part, unless its from the dark ages that won't matter at all, unless you don't have your port configurations correct.. pretty much past 1999 the standard has been the same.. although certain brands have been known to produce better results, but its also the networking cards in unison with the routers and modem.. And yes, those computers and the xbox make a pretty big difference, expecially if the computers have spyware on them..

you should connect your computer directly to your modem and and reboot it and your computer, close as many processes down as possible and re-run your test.. start there.. if you see a drastic change let me know and I can help you in the right direction if you need help.. you probably don't, but when you get down and dirty with networking protocol it can get messy if you don't know what your doing.. also there settings you can manipulate to increase your performance without it doing the basic setup which most people do..

You know what...I was sorta just being sarcastic there... :p But thanks for the offer. I'll wait until my dad goes to work tomarrow so I can unplug his computer ;) Then I'll give yall my "top-notch" speeds.

I got ya.. I hope I wasn't coming off as a prick by asking if you think a new router would help.. I didn't mean it like that and when I go back and read it I can see how you might think that.. I have a habit of saying things certain ways then replying with somewhat of an answer.. I always try to help people understand, not just give them basic answers so their more apt to learn more about it, or take what they will from the reply.. so I hope you didn't take it wrong.. :)

Don't worry I'm more of a direct person anyways. I usually just want a yes or no answer. But I got cha.

I pay $125 CND because its medium high speed, with phone, and satellite with HD Channels plus extra channels like G4. So its a pretty good deal.
