DS emu

This question has probably been asked a million times so i'm sorry for asking it again. Will there ever be a Nintendo DS emulator for the PSP? Maybe it can use the same thing the web browser uses (The mouse controlled by the joystick) as a stylis for the NDS.

EDIT: Wait, is there a NDS emulator for PSP? I saw a post made by Diehard in a thread about pokemon games that said something about a DS emulator.

gman said he has got a game to work on a psp DS emulator, im not sure of the specifics though.

I would like to know what DS titles are worth emulating on a PSP.

Most decent DS titles I know of can be emulated with a Gameboy Advance emulator.

Also with DS units readily available ($125 or less) I think emulating the system on a PSP, PC or whatever is pointless.

Saving $125 is a good chunk of money, you can just save 50-60 more and buy a PSP and be able to play both of them. Easy as that . Ad also, maybe people would rather play the things on a bigger screen instead of hurting their eyes on that little one on the ds.

Lol, I guess you're mad now.. I'm just saying. People don't care to just throw $125 around for something that they probably won't use very much. Except maybe play a few games on a PC emulator which is fine for whoever. If someone wants a DS system they will get it, they won't settle for an EMU.

IMO it just isn't worth it... you can't do the touch controls on the PSP, so that severely limits the games you can play if there were an emu. On top of that, the dual screen idea wouldn't work unless you put them side by side... and for some games that would be weird.

Can you imagine playing Pokemon Diamond on a PSP, not a good idea.

I own a DS. I do not think I have used it in almost a year. In fact I need to find it.

The truth of the matter is that I feel that emulating "new" and available systems is wrong and should not be done.
Emulation is a gift and a great way to preserve the time and talent that went into making the production and keeping out of print systems alive. However, releasing emulators too soon hurts the industry and the emulator scene as a whole.

I see a day coming soon when offering emulators to the public regardless of how old the system is will be a crime. Why? Because $ony Micro$oft and Nintendo are all offering old school games and they are out to make money. Emulation is counter to that. Think about how many legitimate Halo 3 or 360 owners would exist today it could be emulated on PC right now? Would it matter as much in 5 or 6 years?

The cost of consoles for the most part really has not gone up at all when you think abut it. The Sega Saturn retailed for $425 ten years ago Playstation2 was $300 for a core system. Sure not everyone can afford $125-$400 for a new system but there are alternatives; you can buy one used or you can save up.

I am not mad over anyones comments. I am just disappointed in general every other week someone is posting something about how to play or download this or that ISO and they barely even know how to flash a firmware. Fewer and fewer people are buying games every year. In a way the industry is hurting itself by asking upwards of $60+ per title but in all honesty how many people have we met that don't buy games at all?

I think that everyone should buy one legitimate copy of the emulated games and consoles that they ACTUALLY play to show appreciation for the developers. There are so few of us out there that do that.
We lost Atari, loosing Sega, Nintendo might be next to name a few. Coding takes a lot of time and fame alone does not put gas in the car or even food on the table. In the end this forum exists because someone is out there to make money. If not the PSP ( or whatever system) would not even exist.

Yea it sucks, I wish people didn't just download the games too. When I say "I can't wait to get enough money for this one game", they say 'why don't you just download it?' And im like.. well.. its illegal. I have downloaded games to test em out and wait till I got some money to buy it though . The game industry would be a lot better if you couldn't emulate all this stuff, but it is a good thing to have if you already own the games. Over at other sites, they host the games and stuff just to get 'fame' or something? Wooptedo.

Yea, see here is a prime example... read the posting for "PSP CRACK". This will probably get me kicked off the forum but it is crack heads like this one that get a PSP for xmas that get forums shut down and ruin everything for everyone.

ya like, the DS is really going through quite a dry spot in my opinion in america. But then again the system is targeted towards a younger audience. My emulators on my psp are twice as enjoyable to use, and more convenient. Dont get me wrong, Nintendo is great, and i enjoyed some DS game, i'm just curious as to what Nintendos next portable will be like.

Not sure, their last few console/portables have always been different that the competitors. The GC had the small disk and funky controller >_>. The DS has the stylus and touch screen thingy. And the Wii is the Wii. Not sure when they are going to make a regular next gen console.

I agree with you completely on this point. I think that the Marketing heads at Nintendo seem to still think that Videogames are exclusively for children not realizing very few adults have the disposable income or the desire to regularly shell out 30+ dollars for a DS or Wii game for their child. I don't know about you but $30 would buy my dad a lot of beer!

I am not going to make a long post underscoring this point but I absolutely agree that Nintendo needs to start targeting an older crowd or move away from exclusively focusing on family oriented video games.

I heard a rumor that if the DS and Wii was not a big success that it would be Nintendos last console effort.

well i'm 16, and a lot of games are unnappealing to me now that were fun when i was growing up. I still love nintendo games, but there are a lot of simplistic and basic games released for the DS. I love my X-box though, with Halo 3, COD 4, Mass Effect, Bioshock, its awesome.
Dont get me wrong, I'm still waiting for Super smash bros, but i have to say i havnt touched my wii in a few months, and my xbox gets played all the time.
