utorrents makes internet so slow!!!

i swear like everytime i use it i cant play any games it makes them SOOOOOOO laggy and i have a 10,000kbs connection.

can someone please give me a solution on how to make it not make my internet so slow?

Also when you download those torrents that are like 45 files what do you do to put them together? i got daemon tools and i like make a folder and put all the files from winrar on that folder but it doesnt work, like ti doesnt come up on daemon tools so i cant mount it.

The problem is (1st question)........Utorrent is hogging a lot of the space. Kinda obvious. You cant download something and then play a game at the same time. After you get done with utorrent you then say you want to exit it out in the bottom right of your screen. I have to do this with Bearshare.

Ah wow, well you could try different ones and experiment to see which one causes the least lag, I don't really use them so I can't help much :(.

torrent downloads really do clog the computer, and i've found that its hard to do other stuff while running them. There are some things i did to make them go by a little faster a while ago, and if i remember them i'll edit this post.

I just downloaded a cracked version of BT ENgine and it sped my torrent downloads up by 164%. If you do a quick google search I am sure you can find it too. BTW I use utorrent and I have had no problems. You might just need to optimize your settings. Again a quick google search will solve your problems I am sure.

Torrents are a huge bandwidth hog. I usually wait until I'm going to work or bed to let Azureus run.

If you happen to have Comcast Cable as your ISP, they've been known to limit bandwidth to users using P2P/Torrent clients also, which will make things seem even slower.

well when you download games that have a bunch of files, dont worry. When they unpack they automatically piece themselves together, and it works fine. Anyway, thats how multi-part .RaR downloads work with big files. It should just piece itself together, but if it doesnt just post another comment.

Ok well I believe you pretty much know the deal by now, but if your using utorrent you can limit the amount of bandwidth it takes up, which in turn would cause your downloads to take twice as long. So pretty much would you rather play your games and download at the same time while the download takes ages, or just download the file real quick then play? That and for the multipart rar file, like steele12 said, just unzip the one that either ends in .000 or .001 (pretty much the first one) and it will then unzip the rest automatically. Daemon tools is for like mounting iso's on a virtual cd drive, so you don't have to waste cd's or dvd's on it.

Right click the .000 or .001, and then click unrar or unzip w/e it says to unrar it.
