i mean like honestly, how out of touch from reality, how ignorant, how retarded must you be to think that guns actually result in deaths.
If someone wants to kill someone, they will do it, it doesnt matter if they have a gun or not.
Actually, most murders that are NOT gang related are done without the use of guns if im not mistaking.

Gun control is not about controlling guns and keeping people from killing people. As far as I know gun control helps with population control at least here in America.

The real reason for gun control is so that the people can not rise up against authority which is precisely the reason for our constitutional right to own them!

Our rights were infringed upon in the 1930s when automatic weapons were banned.

When Hurricane Katrina hit New Orleans our right to bear arms was again infringed upon. EVERY law abiding citizen that registered a weapon had them taken away by DHS without cause for "their own personal safety". Meanwhile the opportunistic "thugs" with UNREGISTERED weapons ran about going from door to door causing mayhem and so forth and did so at their leisure.

This was an obscene violation of constitutional rights for the law abiding citizens of New Orleans.

The NRA doesn't fight for our right to bear arms it merely assures accountability for them or they would have LAWYERS argue word for word on behalf of the people what the US Constitution states about having guns.

Here it is:

A well regulated Militia, being necessary to the security of a free State, the right of the people to keep and bear Arms, shall not be infringed.

Militia:a body of citizens organized for military service

Infringed: to encroach upon in a way that violates law or the rights of another

Here is how I understand the the constitution

You want guns? Join the National Guard, then you can have all the guns you want.

Make sense? That is the way it was meant to be but that is not the way it is being ran because people either do not know how to read and interpret the constitution or they do not care.

END OF STORY.

Yes it is true that if someone really wants to kill someone, they will do it. But answer me this...

2 people standing across the street from you want to kill you. One has a knife, one has a gun. Who's attack are you more likely to survive?

How many people die in accidental shootings? Now how many people die in accidental knifings? See where I'm going with this...

Different people have different reasons for gun control. Fact is, the public doesn't really NEED guns. Yes, gun control laws take guns away from the people legally owning them and not from the bad guys... but that's the immediate effect. Long term, gun control makes guns more scarce all together decreasing the number of baddies with guns.

In America's gun saturated society it will take a long time for strict gun control laws to make a difference, but the fact is the 2nd amendment is outdated and unnecessary.

This hypothetical is subject to so may variables it is impossible to answer. Fact is that a knife in the head is just as lethal as a bullet. A gun across the street may not necessarily hit you either and it also depends where you are hit. Ultimately it all depends on the user. Criminals will ALWAYS have guns. Don't castrate yourself for someone else's idealistic vision of the future. Police or whatever you think is supposed to uphold the law can't be everywhere at once.
How many people die in accidental shootings? Now how many people die in accidental knifings? See where I'm going with this...
A needless death is tragic regardless of how it is orchestrated. Big Macs accidentally help kill thousands of people too by contributing to obesity and heart disease but what is being done about that?
Different people have different reasons for gun control. Fact is, the public doesn't really NEED guns.

The public needs guns whenever some nut with one decides that he is going to blow away his colleagues. Guns save as many lives as they take ask any cop that has had to use one in defence. Ultimately it is the intentions of the wielder that should be in question not the gun. 2 years ago a Korean decided to go on a rampage in VA tech. He wasted 30 or so people if one of them had a permit to carry a concealed weapon and used it effectively lives could have been saved. What if the professor that pressed his body against his classroom door to absorb bullets used a gun instead? The cops can't be everywhere at once. What if an assault occurred in the sparsely populated areas of America? Who has time for the cops when they can be 15 or more minutes away?

Guns are a deterrent. Laws don't stop people from speeding or drinking and driving or stealing identities. Why would you think they would stop people from carrying guns? I would rather have mine within the confines of the law than outside but that is just me. I know that there are many that do not feel that way. Now so do you.

Gun control can suk my dik. It is crucial to the survival of freedom and even if they imposed it I'd still wield my battle shotgun.

Don't even get me started on this topic. As an owner of 20+ firearms and member of the NRA I strongly support the 2nd amendment. True, About half of my guns are from WWI & WWII and I have shot very few times but outlawing firearms because of stupid things such as collapsable/adjustable stocks, multiple attachments for accessories, and magazines that hold over 10 rounds is just plain pointless. Also, in response to que13x's comment about full autos being banned, that isn't entirely true. In most states you can purchase fully automatic weapons, silencers, and destructive devices through a Class III NFA dealer with a form 4 by purchasing a tax stamp for $200 through the BATFE. This is assuming you pass the background check. I'm working on saving up for one of these now to legally obtain a silencer.

You are 100% correct on everything you stated. For most every day people a class III license just isn't practical. I also understand that you need good reason to ask for one and I really just can't think of one.

You really don't. If you just go down to any class III dealer they are usually more than happy to help with all the paperwork for you if you are planning to buy something from them. Basically you purchase the regulated item, then they put it in the back and hold onto it until the paperwork goes through (usually takes about 2 months. If you have a clean record and say its for sport or in the case of a silencer to keep the noise level down that's good enough.

And don't worry airplanes, I wouldn't do anything stupid to risk loosing my weapons, the right to own them, or any of my licenses. I would only fire in self defense and it would have to be absolutely necessary (meaning less than lethal weapons were not an option at the time).
